Something Sweet

So you know all the pictures I took kissing Chad on the cheek in disneyworld. well there's a story behind those. it all started about 6 years ago when chad and I had been sealed for time and all eternity... to each other... for eternity. thats a whole lot of time. like it never ends. ever. wow.

so after 2 days of wedded bliss I took my first plane ride off to Atlanta for a second reception. Thats where Chad's family lived at the time. So Brother Tedjasomething came to the reception and took tons of photos. (That was really sweet of him and the next morning at 6am he dropped off all the printed pictures and all of the copies burned on 2 discs.) So anyway he took this picture and I love it. (And I have to say one of the reasons why I love it is because I think I look hot. Like smoking hot. I admit it sometimes I can be very vain. But you have to know that I grew up feeling like really ugly.) I think those photos captured how happy we were at the time. How happy and completely innocent and naive about marriage, adulthood, life in general. Not to say that we're not happy but it was different... it was before diapers and bills and fighting about how to wind up the vaccum cord properly.

So here we are like last week at Epcot center and I'm totally feeling in love with Chad. Its dark, there's fireworks, there's music, and a warm breeze. So I cuddle up to him and just hoping he'd say something really romantic...

Cuddling and trying to get in close
chad: squeezes my hand
waiting for chad to say something sweet
waiting
waiting
oh my freak doesn't he know that he's suppose to grab my face in his hands, and gaze into my eyes and tell me that I'm the most important thing he's ever had or will ever have and he would DIE without me

waiting....
"Honey"
"yeah?"
"will you say something sweet to me"
"something sweet"
"uhhh no I'm being serious! say something serious."
"something serious"
"Chad! HONESTLY! you really make me crazy sometimes"

sit in silence... for like forever

Shell?
what!
"I love you"
"I love you too"
smile at each other

and then I lean over and kiss him on the cheek which reminds me to take a picture of us to recreate that moment from 6 years ago. of us both being so happy. and its still dark, and the fireworks are still going off, and the music is still playing... and I'm very much in love with my husband.

chad! you really make me crazy:)

A few of my favorite things

I know you all can't sleep at night and toss and turn with this brain buster... "What are some of Shellie's favorite things?"

I apologize for not posting before the things that I can't live without but now the time has come so get ready to take notes.
ck eternity women

Bravo

All of my favorite shows live here. Top Chef, Project Runway, and Real Housewives of Orange County/New York. If there is any sort of marathon I turn into the worlds crappiest mom. Pipe Down! Momma's watching her shows ya big bratz!

candy bars

Anytime my mom would let us pick out a candy bar this was my choice. Every time. For 10 years. I hadn't had it in along time until about a month ago Chad went into the gas station and brought me out one. He totally remembered that I mentioned it was my favorite once. Melted my heart.

Jen

I am a magazine junkie. I love reading about celebrities. You know Lisa and I have some mad skills on pop culture/celebrities... its one of our hidden talents :)

Diet Coke

I am not addicted by any means but I do love me some Diet Coke.

Rocky Road ice cream

Rocky Road Ice Cream is hands down my favorite ice cream in the world. I have nothing funny or witty or amusing to say about it. Just that its my favorite.

Old Navy

True Story- When I was a freshman in high school my brother Austin went to california and brought me back a tshirt with the words "Old Navy" on the front. He told me it was from a new store out in California. Everyone would come up to me at school and ask "Whats Old Navy? What about the New Navy?" I like to think that i singly handly made Old Navy brand cool to wear at Hillcrest High School.

But I do love Old Navy. I love buying things for friends and family for .97 cents it gives me the biggest high.

The End is Near

We leave today at 4 pm but we are hitting up one last day at magic kingdom. I am currently in the process of trying to talk Chad into letting me get a grown up princess dress. I want to get a little one for Kate as well. I'm trying to tell Chad that I'll wear it for every Halloween and I can hire myself out for little girls birthday parties. We'll see!

Yesterday we went to cocoa beach and I was so proactive on making sure the kids didn't get burned that I forgot to reapply sun block on myself and got super burned on my face and shoulders. ouch!

I took my first swim in the ocean and it was awesome. Sonia got a little body board and I tried to surf on it. I had this total envision of looking like Cameron Diaz hanging 10 in Hawaii! So as soon as I saw this wave coming I started paddling with it and then tried to stand up... on a body board... so the wave flipped me over and the wave crashed over me pushing my face and knee on the ocean floor below. IT hurt so fricken bad. I have a picture of my knee that I'll post later :)

today we go home :( It has been a great vacation. My dad was kidding with me about what I was going to blog about since nothing has been dangerous or embarrassing.

Epcot by the way was cool too. I got a Henna tatoo, put parfume on in Paris, ate in England, and bought a Monchichi doll in Japan. Yay for monchichis! I seriously had always wanted one!

The Year of a Million Dreams

We went to Magic Kingdom today and had an awesome time. We were ready to go by 8:30am! So again I don't have much time. I am so exhausted but in a good way. I rode splash mountain (it was chilly!) but since I didn't want to get wet I put my hood up on my sweatshirt and had my huge "Nicole Richie" sunglasses on. So the photo they took of us coming down I ended up looking like the unibomber.

I do have a new dream though and thats work as a disney princess.

The kids did great today and Dallen had a lot of fun in Tomorrowland. While we were in the bathroom today a little girl dressed up like Jasmine came in and Dallen and her just stood there smiling at each other. Dallen then started to do some karate stances and started singing "Transformers" theme song. It was so cute! What a sweet prince. He was totally trying to "woo" her. She gave him a little wave after he was done and he just stood there in his karate stance staring back at her until she left. Serioulsy more men need to do this. I know I would be totally won over!

I don't have much time. But I have to say I'm in heaven here. I thought everyone might have been a little weird when they talked about how awesome, magical, cool, perfect Disneyworld/land is... but its all true.

Besides having a bad morning... threw up twice because of the nerves. I had a definate case of "Disney Tummy"

I also have a new dream - to become a stunt car driver.

Kate at Dinner

enjoy this cute vid of Kate... And my singing debut!

See you real soon!

M I C "see you real soon!" K E Y "why because I love you"
M. O. U. S. Eeeeee!

Tomorrow we are going to Orlando Florida. (Flo Ride A! to some of you...Lisa...Kendra!!!) and we are meeting up with my dad, stepmom, and little sister.

I am so excited. I think I'm the most most excited... even over the kids. Well Kate doesn't have a clue and Dallen is presently out of the Disney stage now that he is addicted to Transformers a.k.a "Kid Crack" (but I think that will change when we get there)

I went to Disneyland with my family when I was 3 and I do have some wonderful memories. Two of which that involve my cousin *Mewissa (name has been changed to protect the innocent.)
side note---
Mewissa was a beautiful child. Beautiful blonde hair, big eyes, cute wee little button nose. (everyone sigh) She was really a little doll. I on the other hand was not I picked my boogers, I had shaggy hair, and a stout little body, not an ugly kid by any means... but well... just not Mewissa.

baby cinderella

So I have 4 memories from Disneyland when I was 3.

1. "It's a Small World" ride - that is the only Disney related memory

2. Opening my uncle chad's contact lense case and bathing my baby doll with the solution that was inside...along with rubbing the contacts all over the baby which made them tear and totally unusable. Sorry Uncle Chad!

3. My cousin Mewissa locking me out on the balcony of the condo we were staying at and saying "You can't come in if you aren't a Murdock!!!" (LOL I can still see you with your hand on your hips and shaking your finger at me)

4. Mewissa had a new doll that crawled whenever you stuck the binky in its mouth. It was sitting on the bed and I went to play with it but it quickly got taken away by her because you guessed it...I wasn't a Murdock :)

In Mewissa's defense we were only 3 years old and she was and still is a very sweet person. Love ya!

Jewel

I bet you guys didn't know that I'm pretty much obsessed with Jewel. But I am. I have been so since 1996 when her first cd Pieces of You came out. I think she's amazing. It's one of my life dreams to learn how to play guitar. and the first songs I'd like to learn are from that first album.

While going through some old journals the other night I came across Jewel's book of poems. My boyfriend at the time who knew I was obsessed with her gave it to me and I loved it. I think she got a really bad rap for it in the media but I thought it was pretty good. So while reading it the other night I came across a poem that I had written in the margins. just so you know I was pretty dramatic in high school. and keep in mind I was 16 when I wrote this :)

Please come find me
and wrap me in your arms
its been too long feeling this lonliness
to ever feel good about
what the future might bring.

that should be on some tshirt at a Lilith Fair booth right?

p.s. I don't take myself that seriously and if you want to tease me you can cause I think my dramatic teen years are funny.

p.p.s - but I reserve the right if I see any "you're weird" or "that was dumb" kind of comments to scratch your eyes out

Love

you know I hear sometimes that I don't post enough about my family i.e. dallen, kate, chad. and its not that I don't love them. But I just post what is ever in my head at the moment. so I'm sorry family. I love you. today's post will now be dedicated to my main homey... Chad.

I love Chad for many reasons but the main reason I love Chad is because he's the only person in this whole world that I can 100% be me for 100% of the time. You think I'm random and say crazy things here. Chad gets it all the time and I never have to worry about saying or doing the wrong thing. Its like coming home just being with him. and yes We fight and we say rude things (well I shouldn't say we... I say rude things) (Okay I'll stop listing all the bad stuff I do) But when it comes down to it. I love being with him.
Thanks honey for loving me just the way I am.
