Christmas Eve Ya'll

Well its christmas eve here! Chad's at work today :( And he has to work tomorrow :(
So today I'm doing some holiday baking, watching christmas movies with the kids, and then preparing some yummy food for dinner. We are having Tamara, Alan, and their kids Jessica and Jenna over for dinner. Tamara is bringing turkey, a salad, and apple pie. I'm making mashed potatoes, rolls, and zuchinni corn bacon medley. Tamara already is one of my bestest friends. Alan and Chad like hanging out too. They are LDS and we met them in our last apt on the fly even though we went to different wards/stakes they noticed our UT plate on the jeep and flagged us down.

My birthday was this last week. THE BIG 27! Tamara came over and took me to a gelato shop thats down the road from us. I had pistachio and cookie dough gelato. Then Tamara came back over at 7 so Chad and I could catch a movie. We went to the cheap movie theater $8.00 a ticket to see "I am Legend" It was Really good.

So at church yesterday they announced that a new family moved into Fieldstone (thats where we live) and had a baby the day after they moved in. I asked the RS prez if she knew which street and it was our street and I almost passed out because I saw a family move in right next door to us this past week. So get this I went and introduced myself after church and not only are they LDS but their brother and sister in law moved up the street on the same day too. So out of 7 houses on one street 3 of us our LDS. I'm way pumped. And they are also really cool people who have kids the same age as us.

The Jaffy Story

2 weeks ago a lady from my last ward called to see if I was available to babysit. When I found out how much she paid I was like "YES" Babysitting here is $5 an hour per kid and thats why the last date Chad and I went on was in June before we moved. So anyway I went to her house where she was having a dinner party and I was just to be there to help out with any needs that the children had.

Her house was beautiful. It was like walking in a story book house made of candy and whipped cream. I coveted everything. Her children were Claire, Max, Daphne and Luke. It was almost like she had a casting call for beautiful blonde chubby cheeked children dressed in Ralph Lauren holiday wear.

So anyway the funny part... The Jaffy Story

So in walked an African American couple (not that I would seperate them out as African American but for the story its important for you to know) and their child who was 3. They introduced themselves to some guests and then said this is our daughter Jaffy. I thought that was a different name but I thought maybe a cultural name like "Shenquah" or something. So I was across the room and went to them and said that I was helping with the children and introduced myself. Then I said to Jaffy to come with me and I'd get her a plate of food. So all night I said her name... kinda loud and proud. Like I was being ultra cool for using such a cultural name or something. "Jaffy you want some juice?" "Jaffy come down stairs we are starting the movie!" I even thought to myself that she might need some special ed if she wasn't involved in a program already because whenever I said her name she just looked around or ran off. Then as they were leaving the mom said really loud "Gaby come get your shoes on!" I was so embarresed.

Bye Bye Utah

When my plane touched down November 3rd here in Utah I felt inclined to belt out "Home Glorious Home!" you know off the one movie that lisa loves... Oliver? (I think) I love being HOME. I don't want to go. I wish we still lived here. :) But I'll stop being whiney. Attitude is Everything right?

Here's a run down of my visit

*I watched Mary Poppins for the first time

*I stayed with my mom and Lacey and read the autobiography of Walt Disney

*I stayed with Stephanie, Scott, Jaustin and Jasmine and new baby Kenleigh

*I experienced being oogled by every hispanic male at the grocery store in Wendover.

*I lunched with Lisa at Applebee's, Rumbi Grill, and Rib City

*I saw Joe without his shirt on too many times to count

*I played Farkle Sparkle Snarful too many times to count

*I slept an average of 5 hrs a night since apparently I spawned a devil child

*I chilled with Marcella and Mckenna and had really yummy meatloaf

*I chatted with Chad online everyday

*I went to Noah's Ark twice. My new favorite sport is wally ball.

*Had game night with Jillo,Jeffrey,Liselle, and Joey

*Went to Idaho for 2 days.

I had so much fun. I'm excited to go home and hang out with Chad 4 weeks is such a long time!

Bachlorette Party :)

Tonight I went to a bridal shower for my cousin Miranda. We watched a movie that Melissa scripted, directed, and produced. :) Murdocks should go into the movie buisness I swear. :) It was fun. Bryce is a really cool guy and I'm very happy for Miranda.

So then I thought it would be funny to tell Miranda that the present I got for her was a "bachlorette" present (because I thought she'd get embarresed since all of our family was there). But instead it totally backfired. Her face lit up like a million christmas lights strung on a gazeebo and she was like "Oh yeah Shellie came through"

So then I had to back peddle really fast and told her I was kidding. That sucked. Big time. I'm so sorry mandy!

Q100.5

Every morning I listen to a radio show here in Atlanta. Its a pop radio station... I guess I'm not a very interesting human being since I'm not smart enough to listen to NPR or some other newsy radio show. But anyway they have the usual celebrity updates and movie reviews and tons TONS of drama. I love it. Its interesting to live in a non lds area because everything they talk about is soooo juicy and people get really riled up.

Like one morning they talked to this lady who was having an affair and got pregnant with his baby and she didn't know how to tell her husband. So there was alot of calls and people were saying "go for it" (meaning the relationship) and other people were calling her an "Evil Whore" I tried to call in once with my opinion (on another topic)and did get through... but my opinion was apperently boring so they hung up on me.

It's like listening to Jerry Springer in a way. It's my guilty pleasure.

Kenleigh June Louise Carsrud

My sister Stephanie and her husband Scott had their little girl. She's a chub.

I get to see them on Saturday because I'm coming to Utah for a month!

I tried to post a picture of her but my computer is stealing internet from someone who has internet down the road. So its really slow.

Termites

Termites have invaded our garage. Apperently Termites love wood. And Cardboard tastes like wood. They have gotten in all of our boxes stored downstairs. Termites are disgusting looking. Looking at them makes you want to throw up, then take a shower, and then get hosed off with a fire hose. I'm coming home in 2 days for a little visit though. So chad will have to deal with the termites by himself.

Adventures in Atlanta

Well I've been reading over everyone's blog and I now want to do it too! Its fun to read whats going on with everyone and see all the pictures.

We've been living in Atlanta since June 16th and have been missing home like crazy. I'm not one of those people who needs to get away from family to find myself. I think I'm the exact opposite. I need my family because you guys are the only ones who get me. I miss you all.

Our kids are growing like weeds and Dallen isn't my little boy anymore. Kate either. Dallen goes to PreK out here at a local elementary which is five days a week and 8 hrs a day. For the first week I was LOVING it. It felt like so much freedom since Kate takes 2 naps a day. But now I'm missing him like crazy. He has a friend named Tommy. Which I've been trying to convince Dallen to call him "Tommy Boy"

Kate is walking full force and saying "Hi" to everyone she sees. She has the best little spirit about her and loves to fake smile at everyone. She has beautiful blue eyes and I think all the time I should get her into being a baby model and then maybe audition for some Disney Movies or maybe do some baby pagents... they are huge here in the south and we do need the scholarship money.

Chad loves his job and has made alot of good friends at work.

I'm making friends and avoiding the heat, missing the internet and cable TV and joining groups with ladies from the ward.

We bought a house and close on Oct 16th. I'll post some pictures once the lawn goes in and they move the porta potty away from the front of our house.
